Xiaomi will no longer update Mi MIX FOLD - it only received one big update
Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold is the company's first and so far only foldable smartphone. It came out in the spring of 2021 and has only received one major software update since then. Apparently, the company no longer intends to update the firmware.
What is known
Xiaomi Mi MIX FOLD received MIUI 12 out of the box with Android 11 operating system, despite the massive distribution of MIUI 12.5 in China at the time of the premiere. A rather strange situation happened with the software update in the smartphone.
Its first and only big update for the bendable flagship got at the end of October. He received firmware v12.0.25.0 RJTCNXM, which was also the biggest update in MIUI history. The update brought almost all the functions from MIUI 12.5, and the release of MIUI 12.5 itself on Xiaomi Mi MIX FOLD was just a formality. It is also built on the Android 11 operating system.
Firmware v12.5.2.0 RJTCNXM, released over a month ago, could be the latest MIUI 12.5 stable version for Xiaomi foldable smartphone. Such conclusions can be drawn after the company removed support for OTA updates from the MIUI Feedback application. There have been no official comments on this yet.
