Insider: Realme GT Neo 3 and one of the Redmi K50 smartphones will receive a new MediaTek Dimensity 8000 chip

MediaTek recently unveiled its flagship Dimensity 9000 processor and is now working on a simplified version of it.

What is known

The novelty will be called MediaTek Dimensity 8000. According to the Chinese insider Digital Chat Station, it is planned install into one of the Redmi K50 smartphones. Also, such a SoC will receive Realme GT Neo 3 (successor Realme GT Neo 2). Both models are due to show in early 2022.

As for the specifications Dimensity 8000, it is rumored that the chip will be built using a 5 nanometer process technology. It will receive eight cores and a built-in modem for the fifth generation network. According to leaks, the novelty will compete with the Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 888 chips.
