Honor Magic V will be the first foldable smartphone to receive the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip

Honor has recently confirmed that it is working on its foldable smartphone. Now some details have leaked about him.

What is known

A Chinese insider posted a photo on the Weibo social network, according to which the novelty will be the first folding device with a chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on board. For those not in the know, the SoC debuted earlier this month. He built on 4-nanometer technical process and boasts architecture ARMv9, single core Cortex-X2 clocked at 3.0 GHz, three cores Cortex-A710 at 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A510 at 1.8 GHz. 

As a reminder, Honor Magic V is credited with design in the style of smartphones Honor 50 and two displays for 8 and 6.5 inches. The novelty will receive the form factor of a book and will compete with the Galaxy Z Fold 3, OPPO Find N, Huawei Mate X2 and Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold. The release of the device is scheduled for early 2022.
