In early September, Samsung introduced ISOCELL HP1 Is the world's first image sensor for smartphones with a resolution of 200 MP (16 384 × 12 288 dots). But so far the manufacturer is in no hurry to use it in their products.

When?

According to the authoritative insider Ice Universe, next year we will not see any Samsung smartphones with 200 megapixel camera. Instead, the manufacturer will continue to refine the 108MP. For example, the Galaxy S22 Ultra sensor still will 108 megapixelbut will offer better detail, more accurate colors and lower noise compared to the ISOCELL HM3 sensor used in the Galaxy S21 Ultra. It will be complemented by a 12MP ultra-wide lens and two 10MP telephoto lenses.

But the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which is expected in 2023, is rumored to receive the same 200MP sensor, which should provide higher details and 4K and 8K video recording with a wider viewing angle.

However, ISOCELL HP1 may debut next year in third-party smartphones.
