19 smartphones per minute - Huawei boasts sales of P-series flagships
Huawei has boasted of the success of its flagship smartphone line, Huawei P, which will celebrate its tenth anniversary in a few days.
What we know
The series debuted at CES 2012 and was then called Ascend, and the first representative was the Huawei Ascend P1 model. It got a 4.3” 40 x 960 pixel screen, a TI OMAP 4460 dual-core chipset, and Android 4.0 out of the box.
The manufacturer decided to skip the Ascend P3-P5 models, which is why the Ascend P6 came out immediately after the Ascend P2. In 2014, the Ascend P7 appeared, the successor of which was simply the Huawei P8. At the moment, the Huawei P50 line is relevant. They added a bendable model last week - P50 Pocket.
On the eve of CES 2022, at which we are unlikely to see Huawei, the Chinese company said that the total sales of Huawei P series flagships, including Ascend models, exceeded 100 million units worldwide. It turns out that, on average, the manufacturer was selling about 19 smartphones every minute.
