Xiaomi today hosted a major new product launch event where it presented smartphones, branded shellsmart watch and headphones... Lei Jun, CEO and founder of Xiaomi, also took the floor and spoke about the company's big plans.

What's next?

According to him, by 2024, Xiaomi intends to lead the global smartphone market, that is, it needs to sell more gadgets than other manufacturers. True, this will have to get ahead of serious competitors - Apple and Samsung.

We have to admit that Apple is a big player, but Xiaomi has already managed to bypass the “apple” competitor in this race. Samsung, on the other hand, has been an unconquerable leader in recent years, so it will not be easy to overtake it.

Nevertheless, Xiaomi is serious, and its leaders have repeatedly voiced these ambitious plans. According to the head of the company, to achieve this goal, the manufacturer will primarily focus on increasing its sales in the Chinese market. Since 70% of smartphone sales in China are made through physical stores, Xiaomi plans to increase the number of its outlets to 30,000 in the next 3 years.

In addition, the company will not specifically target any one brand (Apple) and will focus on producing products that can compete with all the leading manufacturers.

By the way, it will be interesting to look at the results of this year and the place that Xiaomi will take according to its results in the overall ranking.
