Money or amnesty? The hacker who leaked the GTA VI material wants to make some kind of deal with Rockstar and Take-Two
After a huge leak of GTA VI exclusive content and part of the source code, an intruder under the nickname teapotuberhacker published an appeal to Rockstar and Take-Two executives on GTAForums:
Okay, the leak went suddenly viral - I woke up and saw about 3,000 messages on Telegram. If you are a Rockstar or Take-Two employee and are trying to contact me, send me a message with the text 22559219889638875756 on Telegram or email teapotuberhacker@protonmail.com with your corporate email. I'll try to read all messages as soon as possible - I want to negotiate.
There is no consensus among mainstream publications as to what the hacker wants. Some believe he wants to mitigate future penalties for intellectual property theft. But most likely, it will be a ransom demand for the rest of the information.
In any case, the teapotuberhacker's demands will probably become known soon, but for now Take-Two is in the process of removing the leaked videos from all resources and initiating an investigation.
