A few days ago, Google announced that on January 18, 2023, it would shut down its cloud service Stadia. As a result, its users will lose their progress in their favorite games.
There is no single solution to this problem, but Ubisoft, Bungie and IO Interactive announced that they will allow players to transfer their accounts from Stadia to other platforms.
- Ubisoft promises to make it possible to transfer its game accounts from Stadia to PC through the Ubisoft Connect platform. The company will reveal details of the option later.
- Bungie Studios is also concerned about Destiny 2 player accounts. The company is looking into the issue and will soon announce an action plan to save gamers' accounts.
- IO Interactive intends to lend a helping hand to Hitman players. They don't have a clear plan either, but gamers will be notified as soon as the company comes up with a way to make the migration happen.
