Google admits failure of cloud service Stadia and announces its closure

Google officially announced the closure of the cloud service Stadia.

The platform failed to attract a sufficient audience and soon became extremely unprofitable, despite all the developers' attempts to remedy the situation.

Google thanks everyone who was interested in Stadia. Users will keep access to the service's library until January 18, 2023, and all funds spent on games, add-ons, and related devices will be refunded until mid-January 2023.

The Stadia team will be disbanded and reassigned to other parts of Google, where employees will work on other projects.

Since the appearance of Stadia, users and experts agreed that the service is almost useless in the current realities and unable to interest the general public. And so it happened.
