Tom Henderson: Quantic Dream's purchase cost China's NetEase 100 million euros
At the end of summer 2022, it became known that the Chinese corporation NetEase bought a full stake in the French studio Quantic Dream. At that time, information about the amount of the deal was not disclosed, but insider Tom Henderson was able to find out its approximate value.
Here's What We Know
According to the French law, all shareholders of the company received their share of the profit after the sale, depending on the number of securities. In their tax returns Quantic Dream's employees specified the payments received, and the rest is arithmetic. By doing the math, it was found out that the takeover of the French company cost NetEase just over $100 million.
Hopefully, the proceeds will help David Cage's company complete development of the ambitious Star Wars action game Eclipse, which, according to sources, has gone to production hell.
