The Chinese company Unitree Robotics stated that it did not sell to the Russians the Go1 robot, which was shown at the Army-2022 exhibition.

What we know

Earlier this week, Russia demonstrated a robotic dog with an attached grenade launcher at a military forum. The device was valued at $16,000. The Russians put a case on the robot and said the development used Chinese technology.

The shape of the "head" of the robot suggested that we are dealing with a robotic dog Unitree Go1, which in the basic version costs less than $ 3,000. The Chinese company confirmed that Russia had used its design. However, the manufacturer stated that it did not sell the robot to the Russians.

It is possible that Unitree Go1 was purchased on AliExpress. On the marketplace, the cost of the basic version of the robot is about $3500. Unitree Robotics notes that they are unable to trace how the robot dog got to Russia.
