Hyundai invests $400 million in new Boston Dynamics robots
Hyundai Motor Corporation, which owns Boston Dynamics, plans to invest almost half a billion dollars in the development of robotic devices.

Hyundai Motor announced the founding of the Boston Dynamics AI Institute. Experts here will be engaged in research in the field of smart cars, robotic technology and artificial intelligence. The amount of investment in the project will be $400 million at the initial stage. How much Hyundai Motor plans to invest in the institute is not specified yet.
The head of the Boston Dynamics AI Institute will be Mark Raibert, the founder of Boston Dynamics. According to him, the mission of the new division will develop robots and smart cars of new generations. They should be more flexible, trainable and safe than the devices that exist now.
The institute's headquarters will be located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, next to Harvard University and MIT. Boston Dynamics AI Institute officials plan to hire professionals in various fields, including AI and robotics, as well as hardware and software developers.
