Rivaling Google, Amazon and Roku: the next Apple TV set-top box will cost less than $100
Apple on October 18 announced an updated Apple TV 4K set-top box, which costs less than its predecessor. As it turned out, the next version of the device will also be cheaper.

This was revealed by Chinese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. According to Kuo, the next-generation Apple TV set-top box is likely to cost less than $100. Thus Apple will be able to better compete with similar devices from Google, Amazon and Roku. Unfortunately, the specifications of the device are not yet available.

The current version of Apple TV gets support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, as well as the new Apple A15 Bionic processor. Compared to the A12 Bionic, CPU performance has increased by 50%, GPU performance by 30%, and power consumption has been reduced by 30%. Of course, the device comes with Siri Remote, as well as pre-installed Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Fitness and Apple Arcade apps. The novelty costs in the United States from $129.
