Apple TV 4K - TV set-top box with A15 Bionic chip, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support from $129
The Apple TV 4K set-top box is another novelty of the American company, which debuted along with the iPad Pro and the regular iPad.
Here's What We Know
The model features an updated mobile processor, the appearance of support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision technologies. The hardware platform is built around the Apple A15 Bionic single-chip system. Compared to the A12 Bionic, CPU performance has been increased by 50%, GPU performance by 30%, and power consumption has been reduced by 30%.
Apple TV 4K runs on the tvOS operating system. Siri Remote is provided for control. It charges not through the proprietary Lightning port, but through a symmetrical USB Type-C connector. The arsenal also includes Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.1, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6 2x2 MIMO.
The set-top box supports Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Fitness and Apple Arcade installation. With the Siri virtual assistant, users will be able to control smart home devices through voice commands.
Price & When We Can Expect It
Apple TV 4K with Wi-Fi costs $129. This configuration is equipped with 64GB of storage. The version with Ethernet got twice as much storage and costs $149. Sales will start on November 4.
