Along with the iPad Pro, Apple has updated the regular iPad. The 2022 model (tenth generation) was left without support for Apple Pencil second generation.

Here's What We Know

The tablet is equipped with a 10.9" display with a resolution of 2360 x 1640 pixels and support for True Tone technology. The brightness is 500 nits. The Touch ID button went to the top edge of the body.

iPad (2022) is based on the Apple A14 Bionic mobile processor. The CPU performance has been increased by 20% and the GPU by 10% compared to the last generation chip. In addition, the company said that the novelty is five times faster than the best-selling Android tablet.

The main camera resolution is 12 MP. It got support for 4K ULTRA HD video recording with frame rates up to 240 FPS. The front camera is also equipped with a 12 MP sensor, but it is complemented by ultra-wide-angle optics. The viewing angle is 122 degrees.

iPad (2022) supports 5G networks, Wi-Fi 6, and is also equipped with stereo speakers and a USB-C port. The model runs on the iPadOS 16.1 operating system.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The tablet is already on sale in modifications with 64GB and 256GB of internal memory. The Wi-Fi version costs from $449. The version with 5G network support will cost at least $599.

The iPad (2022) can be accompanied by a Magic Keyboard Folio for $249 and a Smart Folio case for $79. To charge the Apple Pencil stylus, the company offers an adapter from USB-C to Lightning. It was priced at $9.
