For the first time in 22 years, Apple did not introduce a single Mac at the end of the year
As 2022 draws to a close, it's safe to say that Apple won't be introducing any new products this year. This means that for the first time in 22 years, the company hasn't introduced a single Mac device in the fourth quarter (October-December).
Here's What We Know
Traditionally, Apple has released at least one new Mac model every year in the fourth quarter. That started in 2001, when the iBook G3 was released. The last Mac introduced in 2022 was the MacBook Air with the M2 processor, but it was revealed back in July.
It was rumored that the company was supposed to show the new MacBook Pro by the end of the year, but it ended up postponing its unveiling. According to insider information, the next event will take place in the first quarter of 2023, and it will debut updated versions of MacBook Pro, Mac mini and Mac Pro.
