Apple is unhappy with the sales of the iPhone 14 Plus and therefore wants to revise iPhone 15 line

In 2022, Apple decided to abandon the mini-version of the iPhone 14 and instead release the iPhone 14 Plus, which is similar in features to the regular iPhone 14, and in size (6.7-inch screen) to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. But the experiment seems to have failed.

Details

According to insider information, Apple is seriously concerned about iPhone 14 Plus sales and even wants to reconsider the future iPhone 15 lineup because of the failure of the Plus version. Two possible strategies are being voiced. The first is to further differentiate between regular and Pro models, as previously discussed by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The second is the possibility of lowering the price of the Plus model, which now costs from $899. Perhaps the standard iPhone, which now starts at $799, will also drop in price as a result.

In any case, the iPhone 15 family is still a year away from release, so it's too early to say what strategy Apple will use.

By the way, Apple has changed and revised its smartphone lineup several times in recent years. Starting with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the company began offering small and large iPhones, and then expanded to offer four models: two standard and two high-end models, with different materials, colors and camera features.
