Fear of M142 HIMARS: Russians are afraid that the US could send high-precision AFOM missiles to Ukraine after hitting an oil depot 115 km from the front line
Russian media and local authorities in the temporarily occupied territories fear that the U.S. may have sent high-precision AFOM missiles to Ukraine for multiple rocket launchers HIMARS.
What we know
In the temporarily occupied city of Rovenky in Luhansk Region, explosions were recorded at an oil depot. The Russians claimed that HIMARS MLRS were used for the attack. But there is a nuance. The settlement is deep in the rear - 115 km from the front line.
The occupiers fear that the strike could have been carried out by a multiple rocket launcher HIMARS with high-precision 610mm rockets AFOM ground-to-ground class. The range is 310 km, but the U.S. has stated that it will not supply such missiles to Ukraine.
Ukraine has not officially commented on the attack on the oil depot in Rovenki.
