Earlier this week, Bild published a story about the Ukrainian military using a German 155-mm howitzer Panzerhaubitze 2000. A few days later, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry showed the artillery piece in action for the first time.

What we know

The video lasts only 15 seconds. The footage shows a self-propelled artillery unit firing a shot at the Russian invaders and then hiding in cover. The video was shot in eastern Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry's description of the video noted the howitzer's strengths: speed of fire, accuracy, efficient use of ammunition, and minimal time to hit the target and withdraw from the combat position.

The Netherlands and Germany have already handed over 12 artillery systems Panzerhaubitze 2000 to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Another six guns will be sent to Ukraine in the near future. Italy is also considering the possibility of transferring heavy weapons, and it is not excluded that it will be German artillery systems.
