This is not a Netflix movie - Ukrainian Navy published a spectacular video with British Mastiff armored vehicles
In the mid-spring of 2022 there was information that the UK would send armored vehicles Mastiff to Ukraine. After almost two months, the military began to master the foreign equipment, and now it has been shown in action for the first time.
What we know
Images of Mastiff were published on Facebook page of the Ukrainian Navy. British armored vehicles are already helping Ukrainian servicemen to defend the country from the Russian occupiers.
Recall that Mastiff is a special version of the armored vehicle Cougar, which was developed for the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom. The Cougar itself was created by the company Force Protection. It was taken over 11 years ago by American giant General Dynamics, which produces tanks Abrams.
The Mastiff can reach speeds of up to 90 km/h. The vehicle is equipped with 7.62mm and 12.7mm machine guns, as well as a 40mm automatic grenade launcher. The vehicle also boasts a new monitoring system with thermal imager and increased crew capacity (8+2).
