Ukraine is negotiating the supply of Abrams and Leopard tanks

The Armed Forces of Ukraine may receive German and American tanks.

What we know

During the national TV marathon, the Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov not only mentioned the receipt of the first anti-aircraft self-propelled units Gepard, but also said that Ukraine has begun negotiations on deliveries of tanks.

According to the Minister, Ukraine plans to receive several dozen German tanks Leopard, which will be used for training exercises, probably in one of the Baltic states. In addition, there are talks with friendly countries about the supply of other tanks, for example, American Abrams.

Recall that previously the words "Abrams" and "Ukraine" did not appear in the same context, except for the news that Poland will receive Abrams, and will send to Ukraine PT-91 Twardy. There was already information about deliveries of Leopard tanks. In particular, on July 12 it became known that Spain may send to Ukraine 10 units of Leopard 2A4. But our country will have to spend from €5,000,000 to €15,000,000 for the modernization of combat vehicles.
