The Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive SHIELD APC armored vehicles worth almost $1,500,000
The armored SHIELD APC vehicles will soon be supplied to the AFU assault battalion.
What we know
It is possible that Ukrainian servicemen have already received the armored vehicles, as information about their shipment from Italy appeared on July 27. This was reported by social activist Yuri Biryukov in Facebook.
According to him, $1,457,000 was spent on the vehicles. It was not possible to collect the entire amount within the designated time frame, so nearly $1,000,000 had to be borrowed to avoid paying fines and risking the licenses.
SHIELD APC is an armored vehicle by Mobile Land Systems, which can have STANAG level 1 or 2 protection depending on the tasks to be performed. The vehicle is equipped with a 6.7-liter turbodiesel Cummins 360 HP engine with and torque of 1100 Nm.
