Russians will protect bridges in Kherson from Harpoon and Neptune missiles with target ships
After several strikes on the Antonov bridge and railroad in Kherson, the Russians decided to increase protection of these sites.
What we know
It seems that the occupant leadership believes that the next strike on the Antonov bridge will be carried out by Neptun or Harpoon missiles. This is evidenced by the fact that target ships with arched reflectors have been sent to the bridge. Similar equipment was previously seen in Crimea near the Kerch Bridge.
Such barges could help protect the facility from Harpoon and Neptune missiles, which are equipped with radar homing heads. It is difficult to say how effective they will be against HIMARS, MARS II and M270 MLRS multiple rocket launchers, which use inertial guidance and GPS navigation.
