The Ukrainian Armed Forces use HARM missiles in AGM-88B Block III version with an updated homing head

We have already written more than once that Ukraine received HARM missiles from the United States. Now there is information about what version the AFU uses.

Photos with the remnants of the missile have appeared on the Internet. According to the Militarny publication, the photo shows the AGM-88B Block III version of the missile. The production date of 1991 hints at it.

The HARM missile was produced in three modifications: AGM-88A, AGM-88B and AGM-88C. The first one had two versions (block I and block II), and the second one (block III). The third, in turn, was also produced in two versions (block IV and block V).

AGM-88B Block III was introduced in 1990. The missile boasts a new engine, warhead, and an upgraded homing head with a memory device that ensures prompt rewriting of information depending on the type of target hit. The missile is equipped with a 66 kg high-explosive warhead. It is detonated by a non-contact laser fuze. AFU launches AGM-88B Block III from aircraft.
