David Arahamia, head of the Servant of the People faction, said that Ukraine wants to get used HIMARS multiple rocket launchers.

Here's What We Know

This week, the United States allocated 18 HIMARS to Ukraine as part of a $1.1 billion military aid package. However, the missile systems will be manufactured from scratch, and deliveries could take up to two years. But Ukraine has found a way to speed up the arms transfer.

David Arahamia told the Voice of America that Ukraine wants used rocket systems so it doesn't have to wait for new HIMARS to be made. This would speed up deliveries and the Armed Forces would not have to wait two years. The new HIMARS will be sent by Lockheed Martin to the U.S. Army at once.

The head of the faction added that Ukraine needs the MQ-1C Gray Eagle and MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicles from General Atomics Aeronautics Systems. Ukraine has already held talks with the manufacturer, so once the U.S. government approves the deal, the drones could be delivered within two weeks.

A week ago, the U.S. Congress asked the Pentagon to expedite consideration of UAV deliveries. Ukraine could have received the MQ-1C Gray Eagle a few months ago, but deliveries were halted due to fears that Russia could seize the drone and gain access to U.S. technology.
