The British Ministry of Defense published on Twitter a video of Brimstone 2 missiles being sent to Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

"As part of its aid package, the UK has provided Brimstone 2 missiles, a precision-guided missile, to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This aid has played a crucial role in stalling Russian advancements"," the ministry said.

The Ministry does not specify how many missiles Ukraine has received. But before the country sent only first-generation missiles to the Ukrainian military.

The Brimstone 2 is an improved model with high-precision laser guidance and a range almost twice that of the first version (up to 80 km). With a range of about 60 kilometers when launched from a jet plane and a 6.3 kg warhead, the Brimstone 2 is designed primarily to hit ground targets, including moving vehicles. A naval version of this weapon has also been developed, designed to hit fast attack ships such as speedboats.

Usually these missiles are launched from the air, but the AFU uses them together with modified trucks as mobile launching platforms.

The cost of one Brimstone 2 missile is about 175 thousand pounds.
