Cyprus will buy the Iron Dome missile defense system and may transfer the Tor and C-300 air defense systems to Ukraine
Cyprus has agreed with Israel on the purchase of the Iron Dome missile defense system.
What we know
There is currently no information about how many launchers Cyprus is buying and when all the missile systems will be delivered to the country. But The Jerusalem Post claims that all documents between the two states have already been signed.
For several months, the United States has been in talks with Cyprus about the possible transfer of S-300 and Tor-M1 surface-to-air missile systems to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Perhaps after the purchase of the Iron Dome, this will become possible.
Nicosia's purchase of the Iron Dome anti-missile systems means that the deal was approved by the U.S. government, since the United States was involved in the development of the missile system. "The Iron Dome will allow Cyprus to increase its level of defense against small drones.
