Poland will produce a fire control system for Korean K9 Thunder self-propelled artillery units
The Polish company WB Electronics has signed a contract with South Korean manufacturer Hanwha Defense to supply automated fire control systems TOPAZ. They will be installed in the K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers.

Polish newspaper Defence 24 wrote about it. The contract amount is $139 000 000. It was signed on October 7. By the way, the contract is part of the contract for deliveries of K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers to the Polish Armed Forces.
As a reminder, Poland signed a contract to buy more than 600 Korean howitzers in July this year. Some of them will come from Korea, and some are planned to be produced in Poland. Deliveries of howitzers will start this year.

The K9 Thunder is a modern South Korean 155 mm self-propelled artillery unit. The gunship was developed in 1990s by Samsung Techwin under the order of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Korea. The crew of the gun consists of 5 people. The range of fire of the SAU is about 40 km.
