Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 3K 120Hz display, three 50MP Leica cameras with 8K UHD support and IP68 pricing from €1299 - Xiaomi 13 Pro unveiled
Along with the Xiaomi 13, the Chinese company has announced a more advanced model. The Xiaomi 13 Pro also debuted at MWC 2023 and will be officially on sale in Europe.
Here's What We Know
The Xiaomi 13 Pro features an LTPO OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, HDR10+, 1900 nits brightness and a 6.73" diagonal. The resolution is 3200 x 1440 pixels. The display has curved corners and a cutout for a 32 MP front-facing camera. The glass is Gorilla Glass Victus. The cover is made of ceramic.
Under the bonnet of the flagship is a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. The processor has a frequency of 2-3.2 GHz and Adreno 740 graphics. The power subsystem is represented by a 4,820mAh battery. The wired charging capacity is 120W and the wireless charging capacity is 50W. The battery charges in 19 minutes and 36 minutes respectively.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro's main camera packs three modules. The resolution is 50.3 MP (f/1.9, 1", 1.6µm, OIS) + 50 MP (f/2, 3.2x zoom) + 50 MP (f/2.2, 115 degrees). The cameras feature Leica optics. The flagship supports 8K@24FPS(HDR), 4K@24/30/60FPS (HDR10+, Dolby Vision HDR) and Full HD with frame rates up to 1920 FPS.
The smartphone features stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3 LE, NFC, IR port, USB-C 2.0 and a fingerprint scanner built into the display. The casing has received IP68 water protection. The software platform was the Android 13 operating system, complete with a global version of MIUI 14.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The smartphone will be available in black and white body colours. Buyers of the Xiaomi 13 Pro will be able to use 2TB of Google One storage for free for six months. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is priced at €1299. In China, the model went on sale for €680-855.
