Ukraine received the Bayraktar TB2 Vanagas drone for free
Turkish assault drone Bayraktar TB2 Vanagas finally reached Ukraine.
What we know
In May, Lithuanian residents raised almost €6 000 000 to buy a drone Bayraktar TB2 for Ukraine. At the beginning of summer the company Baykar announced that it will donate the drone for free.
On July 4 the strike drone arrived to Lithuania, where two days later it was presented at the military base in Siauliai, after which the drone went to Ukraine. By the way, in Lithuania the UAV received a new name - Vanagas, which means "hawk.
On the evening of July 8, diplomat Andrei Sibiga wrote on Twitter that Bayraktar TB2 Vanagas successfully landed in Ukraine. The drone was transported by aircraft Alenia C-27J Spartan of the Lithuanian Air Force.
