The AFU will receive five NATO Fly Eye unmanned systems at a cost of ₴110,000,000
The Drones Army project purchased five NATO-type Fly Eye drones together with 78 DJI Matrice 300 RTK quadcopters.
What we know
Fly Eye drones were used by special units of Polish army. The price of one unmanned aerial system is ₴22,000,000 ($600,000). It consists of two drones costing ₴5,800,000 ($158,000) each and a control station.
Five complexes worth ₴110,000,000 ($3,000,000) have now been purchased. One of them is already in Ukraine. Four more air complexes will be arriving each week, one at a time.
The Fly Eye is hand-launched and can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h. The radius of application of the drone is 50 km. The maximum altitude of operation is 4 km. The drone is 1.9 m long and has a wingspan of 23.6 m.
