Ukrainian air defense system shot down a $6.5 million cruise missile

On August 8 at 10:00 (EET), Ukraine's air defense forces shot down a Russian Kalibr cruise missile.
What we know
The sea-based cruise missile was fired from a submarine in the waters of the Black Sea. This is reported by the press service of the Air Command South.
Ukraine's air defense was able to destroy the Kalibr in the sky over the Odessa region. According to the Ukrainian Naval Forces, there are still four ships with Kalibr operational-tactical missiles in the waters of the Black Sea.
As a reminder, the Kalibr cruise missile is used to defeat naval and ground targets. The maximum launch range is over 2500 km.
