Chinese drone Mugin-5 Pro for $9500 from AliExpress attacked the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea
The Chinese kamikaze drone Mugin-5 Pro made a lot of noise again. This time, not in Rostov-on-Don, but in temporarily occupied Crimea.
What we know
The incident occurred around 8:00 a.m. (EET) on August 20. First, photos and videos began to appear online with smoke above the headquarters of the Russian Federation's Black Sea Fleet. Later, a video of a Chinese suicide drone was published.
The video shows the Mugin-5 Pro flying over the bay and heading toward the headquarters building. The air defense system acted as the Russian servicemen wanted to shoot down the drone with small arms. As you guessed, only wasted ammunition.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces did not comment on the incident with the Chinese drone. Incidentally, the same drone attacked an oil depot in the city of Rostov-na-Donu in late June. It costs $9500, and anyone can buy it on AliExpress.
The Mugin-5 Pro weighs 85 kg and can carry a payload of up to 25 kg. The maximum flight time is 7 hours. The kamikaze drone has a carbon fiber body, so that enemy air defense systems can not always detect it. The drone is capable of speeds of 150 km/h. It requires a 60-meter-long runway for takeoff, and for landing, as you have understood, the Russian headquarters building is sufficient.
