Not only GLSDB missiles for HIMARS and Stryker BMPs: the U.S. will transfer an additional batch of M2 Bradley to Ukraine

Yesterday, January 18, we wrote that the US is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine, which will include GLSDB missiles for HIMARS and Stryker BMPs. As it turned out, the AFU will receive another batch of M2 Bradley BMPs.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by the Associated Press, citing a U.S. official at the Pentagon. According to the media, Ukraine will receive 50 additional vehicles. That is, a total of 100 M2 Bradley BMPs will soon be in service with the AFU.

The M2 Bradley is the main infantry fighting vehicle in the service of the mechanized troops of the US Army. The BMP is built on a tracked chassis and has a 25-mm M242 Bushmaster automatic gun. There are also TOW anti-tank missile system and M240C machine gun. The cost of one Bradley level M2A2 is approximately $2,000,000. By the way, the AFU will receive the Bradley in the M2A2 ODS (Operation Desert Storm) modification. These infantry fighting vehicles are based on the combat experience of the Iraq war in 1991.
