When Spain will hand over Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine

The Spanish newspaper El Pais has revealed when the country's defence ministry will send the promised Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.

When We Can Expect It

According to the sources, the tanks are planned to be sent to Ukraine after Easter. That is, after April 9. We are talking about the first batch of 4 Leopard 2A4 tanks. The second batch of the same number will arrive later. By the way, Ukraine has already received 18 Leopard 2A6 tanks from Germany, 14 Leopard 2A4 tanks from Poland and 3 Leopard 2A6 tanks from Portugal.

The Leopard 2 is a main battle tank built by German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. The Leopard 2 is the successor to the successful development of the Leopard 1 battle tank. The Leopard 2 has many modifications and is used by the armed forces of Austria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain and Turkey. A total of 3,200 tanks of this model have been produced.
