Following Poland and Germany: Portugal handed Ukraine Leopard 2 tanks, now AFU has 35 of them

Apart from Poland and Germany, Ukraine has also received Leopard 2 tanks from Portugal.

Here's What We Know

This was announced by the Portuguese Ministry of Defence. We are talking about 3 tanks in Leopard 2A6 modification. It means that Ukraine now has 35 German tanks in service. In addition, the AFU also has 14 British Challenger 2 tanks and Ukraine will receive first batch of French AMX-10RC wheeled tanks by end of February.

Flashback

The Leopard 2 is a main battle tank created by the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. The Leopard 2 is the successor to the successful development of the Leopard 1. The Leopard 2 has many modifications and is used by the armed forces of Austria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain and Turkey. A total of 3,200 tanks of this model have been produced.
