Xiaomi may cancel the release of two low-cost flagships

We are talking about models of Redmi K40S family. According to preliminary information, the manufacturer has been working on two smartphones. The top version is to be called Redmi K40S Pro. Redmi's product manager said that there are difficulties in production due to the shortage of components.

Chinese insiders, in turn, claim that the company may abandon the release of new models altogether. This may be due to the fact that the smartphone's release will have to be postponed, but already at the beginning of next year is scheduled to premiere a family Redmi K50.

Recall, Redmi K40S Pro will be the Chinese version of the recent novelty Xiaomi 11T Pro. It will get Snapdragon 888 chip, 120W charging, 108MP camera and 120Hz refresh rate screen. But the Redmi K40S will not be an exact copy of Xiaomi 11T. The key differences will be 120W fast charging support instead of 67W and 50MP sensor in the main camera instead of 108MP module.
