Baykar Technologies established a company in Ukraine to produce Bayraktar strike drones with Ukrainian engines and parts
Turkish manufacturer of strike drones Baykar Technologies created a company for the production of drones in Ukraine.

The ambassador of Ukraine in Turkey Andriy Bodnar informed about it. According to him, Baykar Technologies not only created a company for the production of Bayraktars, but also acquired a site for the construction of the plant. The project of the enterprise is already ready.
In late July, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said, that the construction will begin in 2022. More than $95 million will be invested in the creation of production over the next ten years. The Ukrainian government has already coordinated the bilateral agreement and submitted it for ratification.
According to the ambassador, Ukrainian companies will be involved in production of unmanned aerial vehicles Bayraktar. They will supply engines, spare parts and wheels for the strike drones.
Andriy Bodnar commented on the information that Putin proposed to build a similar plant in Russia. The ambassador said the discussion was half-joking. In response to this suggestion, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan only smiled.
