We wrote that France would send VAB armored personnel carriers and possibly Exocet anti-ship missiles to Ukraine. As it turned out, the military assistance package will include the CAESAR gunship.
What we know
The first self-propelled artillery mounts were delivered to Ukraine at the end of last month. 155-mm guns immediately went to the Donbass.
Now it became known that Ukraine can get six more howitzers CAESAR. But there is no information about the timing at the moment.
CAESAR is a 155-mm artillery unit that can fire up to 42 km. Now a special Vulcano GLR projectile is being developed for it, which will increase the range to 70 km. The howitzer is used to destroy enemy manpower and artillery.
