China for the first time uses the latest J-20 fighters in exercises - it is an analogue of the F-35 aircraft
Following long-range artillery and ballistic missiles the Chinese army took to the skies the latest fighter jets J-20.
What we know
The People's Liberation Army of China began exercises in three water areas southeast, southwest and north of Taiwan. The People's Republic of China Navy and Air Force will practice the tasks of destroying surface and ground targets as well as gaining air supremacy.
J-20 is a fourth generation fighter according to the Chinese classification. China is trying to keep the technical characteristics of the aircraft secret. It is known that the fighter is the Chinese analogue of F-35 of the fifth generation. It is equipped with two engines Xian WS-15, can fly at the altitude of 20 km and has a combat radius 2,000 km.
