Canada will give Ukraine 39 of its newest LAV II ACSV armored personnel carriers equipped with machine guns and additional armor
Canadian authorities in early July reported about plans to transfer 39 wheeled armored personnel carriers LAV II ACSV to Ukraine. As it became known, the Armed Forces will receive the newest APCs, which will be equipped with machine guns.
What we know
This was announced by Anita Anand, the head of the Ministry of Defence of Canada. According to her, the manufacturer has informed the Defense Department that the first armored vehicles will be shipped to Europe in the next few weeks.
The defense minister also emphasized that LAV II ACSV will be sent to Ukraine directly from the production line. In addition to machine guns, the Canadian armored personnel carriers will receive ammunition for them and additional armor.
