The aviation and artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed four S-300 SAMs and the very rare "Ginger" ballistic missile detection station

The aviation and artillery forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spent August 4, 2022 with good regards.

What we know

Three ammunition trains were destroyed in the south of Ukraine. Stormtroopers attacked two points of enemy equipment and weapons in the Kherson region, and helicopters eliminated a Russian army stronghold in the Mykholsiv region.

The air defense system was attacked by missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces. As a result, nearly four dozen occupants, four S-300 surface-to-air missile systems and nine enemy armored and unarmored vehicles were eliminated.

Of particular note was the destruction of the very rare Imbir radar station, which is used to detect ballistic missiles. It is part of the S-300V surface-to-air missile system and can detect ballistic targets like Pershing at a distance of up to 175 km.

The Russian army has about 20 S-300 SAMs, each containing one Ginger station. The Russians may have sent these anti-aircraft missile systems to the Kherson region in order to localize launches HIMARS.
