The Ukrainian Armed Forces showed a spectacular video of synchronous operation of two Uragan multiple rocket launchers
Recently we saw the Uragan multiple rocket launcher system in action. Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine have demonstrated the synchronous operation of two multiple rocket launchers.
What we know
Ukrainian multiple rocket launcher system "Uragan" is built on the chassis of ZIL-135. The combat vehicle (8x8) with the launcher weighs 20 tons and is equipped with two ZIL-375 engines with total power of 360HP. Maximum road speed is 65 km/h and range is 570 km.
"Uragan" uses rockets of 220 mm caliber. The launcher has 16 rails, and the launch range is from 8 to 35.8 km. A full salvo takes about 20 seconds.
According to open sources, Ukraine has more than a hundred Uragan multiple rocket launchers. In 2022, the Ukrainian Boureviy MLRS on the chassis Tatra T815-7 as an improved version of the Uragan MLRS was adopted for service.
