Меряние кхм... диагоналями и технологиями между LG и Samsung продолжается. Samsung показала прототип 85-дюймового телевизора, меняющего форму по команде, LG не отстает и тоже продемонстрировала на CES 2014 подобное решение, правда несколько меньшей диагонали: гибкий 77-дюймовый OLED телевизор LG Flexible OLED TV с разрешением UltraHD. Компания назвала свое детище "Первым гибким UHD OLED TV", что вполне может быть правдой так как Samsung не уточняли тип дисплея, однако он визуально - это LCD с LED подсветкой.
Изгиб происходит по нажатию кнопки с пульта дистанционного управления, пользователь сам может выбрать радиус кривизны в зависимости от расстояния до телевизора и собственных предпочтений. В максимально изогнутом состоянии. Как говорит LG, разработкой они занимались около полутора лет. На данный момент при максимальном изгибе ширина телевизора уменьшается на 8 см, но с технологической точки зрения это не предел.
