Those who play Martha is Dead on PlayStation 4 or PS5 will receive a censored version of the game, according to Wired Productions on Twitter. Today, February 11, the publisher released a statement saying that it had to change some of the content for the PS5 and PS4 versions. In a statement, Wired notes that the game is "recommended for adult audiences only", citing "potentially embarrassing scenes and topics that may cause anxiety". It's not yet clear exactly what will be removed, but the publisher notes that these changes will mean a delay in physical copies for PS4 and PS5. Wired confirms that Xbox and PC players will not be affected and will have access to the full game.
Since the game's announcement, the developer has noted that it can be stressful, and themes of a more serious nature are explored throughout its history. Players won't have to wait long to find out what's missing as the release date is just around the corner.
