Ubisoft sunsets online services for dozens of legacy games
Ubisoft is no longer offering online services to dozens of its video games. As of April 21, 90 legacy games from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 era will no longer have online multiplayer or in-game news and statistics. Just Dance, Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed are some of the affected franchises. Ubisoft posted the announcement on its website.
Offline gaming will still be possible for affected games. {The stated that these changes had also prevented unlockable content such as skins or maps from the affected games. Unlockable content will still be available for console owners unless the save file is reset. Windows PC users will not be able to access this content “even though it was redeemed before .”
