Ukraine will receive the first batch of German Gepard anti-aircraft guns this summer
German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht told her Ukrainian counterpart Alexei Reznikov that Ukraine will receive Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns this summer.
What is known
First batch ZSU Gepard will be handed over in July. It will include 15 installations. The second batch in the same quantity will come to us at the end of summer. In addition to self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, Germany will also send about 60,000 ammunition to Ukraine.

Gepard is a German-made self-propelled anti-aircraft gun (SPA). It is designed to cover ground forces, destroy air targets at slant ranges from 100 m to 4 km and at altitudes up to 3 km, flying at speeds up to 350-400 m/s, as well as ground and surface targets from a range of up to 4500 meters. By the way, the Gepard ZSU is built on a tank chassis Leopard. Installation is carried out by the company Krauss-Maffei since the mid 70s.
