The United States confirmed that it will give Ukraine HIMARS MLRS with a range of up to 80 km

After weeks of rumors and leaks, the administration of President Joseph Biden has confirmed that it will hand over mobile phones to Ukraine.inactive multiple rocket launchers.

What is known

We are talking about MLRS HIMARS and precision missiles (most likely M30A1 or M31). Thanks to this, Ukrainian defenders will be able to hit targets at a distance of up to 80 km. Unfortunately, the US government has not yet announced the number and timing of the supply of guns. 

Recall HIMARS is an American multiple launch rocket system. It was created on the basis of a five-ton FMTV wheeled chassis of the US Army. The RSZV can carry six rockets or one ATACMS operational-tactical ballistic missile. The operating range of the HIMARS M142 is from 2 to 500 km (depending on the shells).
