Google releases Google TV app for iOS

In September 2020, Google closed Play Movies & TV app in favor of Google TV and released new hardware: the pebble-shaped and colorful Chromecast with Google TV. Despite that, the Google TV mobile app has remained exclusive to the Android side of the ecosystem while the old Google Play Movies & TV app continued to work on iPhones and iPads all the way into 2022. The situation finally changing.

Google has released the Google TV app for iOS, which replaces Google Play Movies. It has a virtual remote control for set-top boxes on Android TV and Google TV. Also, the new application allows you to make lists of movies and TV shows and shows recommendations. Users can save content to a watchlist that they can access on all screens on which the Google TV experience is available, assuming the same account is used.

The Continue Watching section on the For You page is a great feature that allows users to watch their content on a large screen. Another convenience is the casting option, which can be accessed from the top of the app's home page. This feature allows users to watch their content on a large screen.
