Jade Raymond's studio, Haven, has officially joined Sony
In March, it became known that Sony is buying the Haven studio, which was founded by ex-producer of Assassin's Creed, Jade Raymond. Now all legal issues are settled - the deal is completed, Haven has finally become part of Sony.
As a reminder, Haven is now preparing a multiplayer AAA game based on new intellectual property. Platforms - PlayStation 5 and, it seems, PC.
In an interview GamesIndustry.biz Raymond said that the production process in the team is based on cloud technologies. At first, it was a necessity, because the studio opened during the pandemic. But since that time, Haven has recognized that working through the "cloud" is better - they say that now the team is more efficient and can generate new ideas faster.
The purchase of Haven has had a positive effect on other Sony studios, with Haven's CTO sharing his cloud-based production experience with them. In addition, Raymond also hinted at innovation in the interview.
The release date of Haven's new work has not yet been specified.
